The historical context I will be comparing with my contemporary text is called Some like it hot. Made in 1959, directed by Billy Wilder. Starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon as the main charatcers. This comedy hit begins with Joe and Jerry, who have witnessed the St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929 and a Chicago gang is after them, therefore they go on the run. Once they get out of town the only work going is in a all girl band, Joe and jerry decide to become Josephine and Daphne and dress up as women to get this job. Although as they join a band they both end up falling for "Sugar" Kane Kowalczyk (Monroe) and both fight toget her without revealing their true selves.
